Elevate EV

The Honda Elevate EV is an upcoming electric compact SUV based on the Elevate, expected to arrive in India under Honda's Project ACE programme around 2026. With expected pricing from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 22.5 lakh, it is positioned directly against the Creta EV and Maruti e Vitara class of electric SUVs, promising Honda's refined ride in battery-electric form.

Range and charging

400-450 km of claimed range. The Elevate EV is expected with three battery options: a 40 kWh pack claiming around 400 km, a 45 kWh pack claiming around 425 km and a 50 kWh pack claiming around 450 km. These are expected figures pending Honda's official ARAI certification.

Around 45-50 minutes on fast charge. AC charging from empty is expected to take about 5.5 to 7 hours depending on the pack, while DC fast charging is expected at roughly 45 to 50 minutes. Honda has not yet published 10 to 80 percent figures.

Performance and driving

Front-wheel-drive comfort. The Elevate EV uses a front-wheel-drive layout with regenerative braking, and with 200 mm of ground clearance it carries over the Elevate's practical, pothole-friendly character. It seats five with a 2650 mm wheelbase.

Practicality and features

Elevate practicality, electric power. The Elevate EV keeps the compact SUV body at 4312 mm with 200 mm of ground clearance, and the top ADAS variant adds Level 2 driver assistance. The listed feature set includes six airbags, Apple CarPlay and a digital instrument cluster.

Who should buy it

Compact SUV buyers who trust Honda. If you want a compact electric SUV with Honda's reputation for ride comfort and reliability at an expected sub-Rs 25 lakh price, the Elevate EV is one to wait for. Buyers who need confirmed specs and launch timing should note that Honda has not officially confirmed this model, and some reports suggest it could be shelved in favour of other projects.
