BYD Sealion 7

The BYD Sealion 7 is a premium electric SUV coupe built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 with Blade LFP battery and Cell-to-Body construction, launched in India in February 2025.

Price & Variants

Priced from Rs 41.90 lakh to Rs 55.90 lakh (ex-showroom) across five variants — the entry-level Dynamic (71.8 kWh, 520 km claimed range), the Premium and Performance, each of the latter also offered as an Anniversary Edition. The Anniversary trims add a Tahiti Blue Nappa interior and an electric sunshade for the glass roof at the same prices as the standard Premium and Performance.

Battery & Range

The Dynamic uses a 71.8 kWh Blade LFP pack with a claimed 520 km (NEDC), while both higher powertrains use a single 82.56 kWh Blade LFP battery pack, with a claimed range of 567 km for the rear-wheel-drive Premium and 542 km for the all-wheel-drive Performance on the NEDC cycle. DC fast charging runs at up to 230 kW on the higher variants, taking about 24 minutes from 10 to 80 per cent, and the car also gets an 11 kW AC onboard charger on Premium and Performance.

Performance

The Dynamic's rear motor produces 228 bhp and 380 Nm for a 7.3-second 0-100 km/h sprint, the Premium's rear motor produces 308 bhp (312 PS) and 380 Nm, while the dual-motor Performance makes 523 bhp (530 PS) and 690 Nm — good for 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds in the Premium and 4.5 seconds in the Performance, with a 215 km/h top speed on the Performance.

Dimensions & Practicality

At 4830 mm long, 1925 mm wide and 1620 mm tall on a 2930 mm wheelbase, the five-seater offers a 500-litre boot plus a 58-litre front trunk. The cabin has a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, head-up display and 12-speaker Dynaudio audio with ventilated front seats, while safety is covered by 11 airbags and Level 2 ADAS.
