Mahindra Treo Xtra

The Mahindra Treo Xtra is a high-speed electric passenger auto-rickshaw (L5M category) from Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, built for shared and last-mile passenger transport in Indian cities. It seats a driver and up to three passengers (D+3) and is listed at around Rs 1.50 Lakh on-road by TrucksDekho. With a certified range of 202 km and the strength of the Mahindra service network, it is pitched as a practical electric upgrade for commercial three-wheeler operators.

Range and charging

The Treo Xtra is powered by an 11.77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack running on a 48V electrical system. Mahindra quotes an ARAl-certified range of 202 km on a single charge, among the longer figures in the passenger e-rickshaw segment. A full charge takes about 5 hours 20 minutes (320 minutes) from a standard socket, and no DC fast-charging time is published for this model.

Performance and payload

An 8 kW induction motor produces 42 Nm of torque for a top speed of 55 km/h, with a gradeability of 22.1 percent. The transmission is automatic with a 1 forward + 1 reverse gearbox. The chassis-with-cabin body measures 2769 mm x 1350 mm x 1750 mm on a 2073 mm wheelbase, with 142 mm of ground clearance and a gross vehicle weight of 726 kg. Hill hold is standard, braking is by drum hydraulic brakes, and a driver information display, navigation system and telematics come fitted.

The Treo Xtra suits city auto drivers, fleet operators and shared-mobility services running high daily kilometres on dense urban routes. The long certified range, the high-speed L5M rating and Mahindra's nationwide dealer and service network reduce the risk of switching a commercial three-wheeler to electric. For an operator replacing a petrol or CNG auto, the Treo Xtra is a credible, well-serviced entry point.
