The Mahindra Treo Limited Edition is a limited-run electric auto-rickshaw launched by Mahindra Last Mile Mobility to mark one lakh Treo sales - the only electric three-wheeler in India to reach that milestone. Priced at ₹3.28 lakh (ex-showroom) and capped at just 1,500 units, it pairs the Treo's proven 10.24 kWh lithium-ion battery and 8 kW motor with a refreshed exterior, vibrant decals and a striking fascia. Standard-fit convenience includes a dual USB charging socket, a mobile holder, a metallic bottle holder and a utility pouch, while a digital instrument cluster and a reverse-view camera kit round out the cabin.

Range and charging

A full charge of the 10.24 kWh pack takes around 4 hours 30 minutes and delivers a certified range of 167 km, with Mahindra claiming a solid real-world figure of about 150 km. The 48-volt electrical system is built for daily commuter and taxi duty, where an overnight or mid-day charge slots in easily. For a commercial three-wheeler this range covers a full working day on typical intra-city routes without a mid-shift top-up.

Performance and payload

The electric motor makes 8 kW and 42 Nm of torque, good for a 55 km/h top speed and 12 per cent gradeability for flyovers and gentle inclines. Gross vehicle weight is 720 kg, and the D+3 cabin sits on a 2073 mm wheelbase - the longest in its category - with 142 mm ground clearance. The 2769 mm long, 1350 mm wide and 1750 mm tall body rides on 3.75-12 4PR 66E tyres, with hydraulic drum brakes front and rear, a helical-spring and damper front suspension, and a leaf-spring rigid-axle rear.
