Lohia Narain XiU

The Lohia Narain XiU is a value-oriented electric auto-rickshaw from Lohia Auto's E-Auto range, offering a large 130 Ah liquid-activated battery for long daily operation at a budget price. It seats a driver plus four passengers.

Battery and performance

The XiU uses a 48V, 130 Ah liquid-activated lead-acid battery pack (around 6.24 kWh) with a 1200 W BLDC motor. Published range is 80-90 km. Lead-acid charging takes 9-10 hours, while an optional lithium pack charges in 3-4 hours.

Body and dimensions

It measures 2760 mm by 985 mm by 1775 mm with a high 235 mm ground clearance for rough roads, and a 2400 mm turning radius for tight city lanes. MacPherson strut front and leaf spring rear suspension with drum brakes round out a low-maintenance package.

Buying proposition

Starting at around 1.20 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Narain XiU is one of the most affordable e-autos in the Lohia range, targeted at operators who want maximum battery capacity per rupee and can manage overnight charging.
