Lohia Narain Base (SS)

The Lohia Narain Base (SS) is the stainless-steel-bodied version of Lohia's popular Narain e-rickshaw line, built for passenger duties in Indian cities. It is a low-speed L3M carrier seating a driver and up to four passengers, governed to a top speed of 22.5 km/h.

Battery and performance

It is powered by a 1200 W BLDC motor with a 51.2V battery system in 130 Ah lead-acid or 105 Ah lithium-ion options (around 6.6 kWh). Published range is 100-120 km on a full charge, with lead-acid packs taking 7-8 hours and lithium about 4 hours to charge.

Body and dimensions

The SS body measures 2765 mm by 970 mm by 1795 mm with 170 mm of ground clearance. Leaf spring suspension at both ends and drum brakes keep the running gear conventional and inexpensive to maintain.

Buying proposition

Starting at around 1.30 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Narain Base (SS) targets budget-conscious passenger operators who prioritise the corrosion-resistant stainless-steel body and long daily range over speed.
