JSA E Rickshaw Star

The JSA E Rickshaw Star is a higher-capacity passenger e-rickshaw from JSA, carrying a larger 7.2 kWh lead-acid battery while keeping the same low-speed passenger duty. It uses a DC brushless motor with a fully built, chassis-with-cabin body.

Performance and range

The Star delivers 0.75 kW of power with 30 Nm of torque, a top speed of 25 km/h and a claimed range of about 85 km per charge. Standard charging takes around 8 hours.

Passenger capacity

It seats 4 passengers plus the driver with a payload capacity of 250 kg, a kerb weight of 550 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 800 kg.

Build and ride

With a 2030 mm wheelbase and telescopic front suspension, the Star runs on 3.75x12 tyres with drum brakes at both ends, and includes a digital instrument cluster and a lockable glove box.
