The G.R.D Motors Davrath Express is a low-speed electric passenger carrier built for last-mile passenger runs in Indian towns and cities. It pairs a 1000 W motor with a 48V battery pack and a four-passenger cabin designed for daily commuter duty.
Battery and range
The Davrath Express runs on a 48V, 140 Ah battery pack (about 6.7 kWh) that delivers a claimed range of around 110 km on a full charge. Recharging from a standard socket takes about 10 hours.
Motor and performance
A 1000 W motor producing 42 Nm of torque drives the rear wheel. Top speed is capped at 25 km/h, matching the L3M low-speed category, with an automatic direct-drive transmission and a 600 kg gross vehicle weight.
Comfort and ride
Heavy-duty hydraulic front and rear suspension absorb shocks on uneven roads, while a 150 mm ground clearance and a 2800 mm turning radius make it manoeuvrable in narrow lanes.
Capacity and dimensions
The D+4 layout seats one driver and four passengers. The body measures 2765 mm long, 1795 mm wide and 1800 mm high on a 1980 mm wheelbase, with a 265 kg kerb weight.
Price
The G.R.D Motors Davrath Express is priced from about ₹1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
