The EVI Mobility Chhota Otto is a passenger electric rickshaw from EVI (a Greenway Mobility brand), engineered for steady daily commutes and last-mile passenger runs in Indian cities. It combines a 1 kW motor, a 5.04 kWh battery pack and independent suspension with a low-speed, L3M-certified passenger carrier body.
Battery and range
The Chhota Otto runs on a 48V, 5.04 kWh battery that the OEM also offers as an 8.8 kWh option. Both are available as fixed or swappable packs. Claimed range is around 100 km on a full charge, with an ideal city range of 100–150 km.
Motor and performance
A 1 kW motor (26 Nm torque) drives the rear wheel through a direct drive gearbox. Top speed is capped at 25 km/h and gradeability is 7%, appropriate for flat and mildly sloping urban routes.
Comfort and ride
Independent front and rear suspension absorbs shocks on uneven roads, while the 260 mm ground clearance helps clear potholes and speed bumps. An anti-tipple design and hydraulic brakes add safety at low speeds.
Capacity and dimensions
The D+4 seating layout carries one driver and four passengers. The body is 2766 mm long, 990 mm wide and 1720 mm high on a 2160 mm wheelbase, with a 750 kg gross vehicle weight and 350 kg kerb weight.
Price
The EVI Mobility Chhota Otto is priced from about ₹0.67 lakh (ex-showroom).
