The Bajaj WEGO P50 is an electric passenger three-wheeler (L5M high-speed passenger carrier) from Bajaj Auto, built for last-mile city mobility. Offered as the P5009 and P5012, it pairs a full-metal monocoque body with an Advanced PMS motor, a 2-speed automatic transmission and a certified range of up to 272 km on the top variant.

Battery & Range

The P5009 carries a 9.2 kWh lithium-ion pack with a certified range of 213 km, while the P5012 uses a larger 12.1 kWh LFP battery delivering a certified 272 km. Both charge via an on-board charger from a standard 16A socket, taking 3 hours 30 minutes (P5009) or 4 hours 30 minutes (P5012) for a full charge.

Performance

An Advanced PMS motor produces 4.5 kW (P5009) or 5.6 kW (P5012) continuous power with 40 Nm peak torque, driving a 2-speed AMT through a heavy-duty CV shaft. Top speed is 45 km/h on the P5009 and 50 km/h on the P5012, with gradeability of 37% and 34.5% respectively. Drive modes — Eco, Power, Climb and Park Assist — adapt the vehicle to load and terrain.

Dimensions & Practicality

At 2,736 mm long, 1,350 mm wide and 1,766 mm tall (P5012: 2,735 x 1,350 x 1,770 mm), it seats a driver plus three passengers on premium dual-tone upholstery. Ground clearance is 170 mm and the wheelbase 2,020 mm, with telescopic fork front suspension and a swing-arm rear with helical coil spring.
