The Warivo Nova is a budget-friendly low-speed electric scooter from Warivo Motors, an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer based in Haryana. Priced from Rs 55,999 to Rs 64,999 (ex-showroom) across three variants - Nova STD, Nova X and Nova S - it pairs a compact, lightweight body with a projector headlamp, Type-C and USB charging and smart connectivity, aimed squarely at short city commutes.

Range and charging

The Nova is offered with either a lead-acid or a lithium battery, with an ARAI claimed range of 60 km on a full charge - enough for a few days of local errands or a short daily commute. There is no DC fast charging; the scooter recharges from a regular home socket through its Type-C and USB port, and the battery is covered by a 3-year warranty.

Performance and driving

A 250W BLDC hub motor powers the Nova to a claimed top speed of 25 km/h, which keeps it in the low-speed electric scooter category. Telescopic front forks and dual rear suspension smooth out broken city roads, while a front disc and rear drum brake setup - ABS is not offered - handles stopping at these speeds. Riding modes and a 10-degree gradeability add day-to-day flexibility.

Practicality and features

At 80 kg kerb weight with an 810 mm seat height, the Nova is easy to manage, and the 180 mm ground clearance is generous for a scooter this affordable. LED lighting, a digital console, push-button start, reverse assist, alloy wheels and tubeless tyres come as standard, and the connected app and mobile connectivity bring basic smart features to a segment that rarely has them. Five colours - Black, Sky Blue, Dark Grey, Green and White - round out the package.

Who should buy it

If your riding is limited to short hops, errands and relaxed city streets, the Warivo Nova is among the cheapest ways to go electric. It is not the pick for long rides or highways - the 25 km/h cap and 250W motor are simply not built for them - so anyone needing more speed or range should look at higher-powered electric scooters.
