Simple Energy is finally going after the family EV buyer with the Arrive, and the expected 3.7 kWh pack claiming over 180 km should be enough for most daily commutes. A swingarm-mounted motor and a conventional, upright design make it a much more approachable package than the sporty Simple One.

At an expected ex-showroom price near Rs 1.3 lakh it lines up directly against the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and Vida VX2. The long single-piece seat, 12-inch alloys, telescopic fork and expected TFT console with connectivity look like sensible value priorities for a family commuter.

Still pre-launch, so the final price, charging times and top speed are unconfirmed and the test units remain heavily camouflaged. Worth holding judgment until the 2 September reveal, but the practical feature list is promising for the segment.
