The Kinetic DX EV is an electric scooter that revives the legendary Kinetic Honda DX nameplate in a retro-modern avatar, launched in India on 28 July 2025 by Kinetic's EV division. It is built on a steel tubular frame with all-metal body panels and comes in two variants — DX EV and DX EV Plus — targeted at family scooter buyers.
Price & Variants
The DX EV starts at Rs 1,11,499 and goes up to Rs 1,17,499 (ex-showroom, Delhi) across two variants — DX EV STD (Rs 1,11,499) and DX EV Plus (Rs 1,17,499). The base DX EV gets an 80 kmph top speed, while the DX EV Plus is capped at 90 kmph.
Battery & Range
Both variants share a 2.5 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery pack. The ARAI-claimed range is 102 km/charge for the DX EV and 116 km/charge for the DX EV Plus. Charging is AC only — 0-50% in 2 hours, 0-80% in 3 hours and a full charge in 4 hours, with the DX Plus featuring a built-in 760W Easy Charge setup.
Performance
A BLDC hub motor produces 4.7 kW in the DX EV and 4.8 kW in the DX EV Plus, with three ride modes — Range, Power and Turbo. Front disc and rear drum brakes with a combined braking system (CBS) handle stopping duties.
Features
The scooter gets all-LED lighting with a K-shaped DRL, an 8.8-inch LCD console, keyless entry, reverse mode, cruise control, hill hold, regenerative braking, ride modes and a 37-litre underseat storage. The DX EV Plus adds anti-theft alerts, vehicle tracking, follow-me-home headlights and ride data analysis over the connected app.
Ride & Practicality
It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with 100/80-12 tubeless tyres, a telescopic front fork and adjustable twin rear shock absorbers, with 165 mm ground clearance and a 1314 mm wheelbase.
