The Hero Electric Optima is an entry-level electric scooter built for daily city commutes, offered in two battery configurations — the Optima CX 2.0 (single removable 2 kWh battery) and the Optima CX 5.0 (dual-battery 3 kWh pack). It is a budget-friendly two-wheeler from Hero Electric, launched in May 2023 as part of the revamped, connected Optima CX line-up.

Battery & Range
The CX 2.0 uses a single removable 2 kWh lithium-ion battery claiming 89 km per charge, while the CX 5.0 pairs two batteries for a 3 kWh capacity and a claimed 135 km per charge. Battery warranty is 4 years.
Performance
A 1200 W BLDC hub motor drives both variants, with a top speed of 48 km/h on the CX 2.0 and 55 km/h on the CX 5.0. Charging takes about 4.5 hours for the CX 2.0 and around 6.5 hours for the CX 5.0 with the home charger.
Features & Practicality
Highlights include a combi brake system, telescopic front suspension, 12-inch alloy wheels, push-button start, digital speedometer and tripmeter, EBS, parking brake and side-stand sensor. Ground clearance is 165 mm, with kerb weights of 93 kg (CX 2.0) and 102 kg (CX 5.0).
Market Position
The Optima targets budget commuters and, at the CX 5.0 price point, sits against higher-spec electric scooters such as the TVS iQube and Ather 450 Plus. It has since been discontinued in India (June 2026).
