The Earth Energy EV Glyde Plus is the electric scooter that launched Mumbai-based startup Earth Energy EV into the market in February 2021, sold alongside its Evolve Z and Evolve R electric motorcycles. It was positioned as an affordable high-speed commuter with a claimed top speed of 90 km/h and an ARAI-claimed range of 100 km per charge.
Battery, motor and charging
A 1.56 kWh lithium-ion battery feeds a motor rated around 2.4 kW (3.2 PS) with 26 Nm of torque. Charging takes about 2.5 hours on a conventional charger, while fast charging restores 80 percent in roughly 40 minutes at dealership stations. The battery is fixed, not removable, and the scooter is not rated for home-charging hookup per BikeDekho's spec sheet.
Features
The Glyde Plus carries full LED lighting, a digital instrument console and smartphone connectivity through the Earth Energy app, which adds ride stats, live location tracking, vehicle tracking and theft protection. Braking is a front disc with a rear drum, tied together by CBS; there is no ABS.
Status
Listings recorded the STD variant at Rs 99,007 before Earth Energy wound down sales of the model around December 2024. Used examples and leftover stock aside, buyers will find newer rivals such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida VX2 in this price band today.
