BGauss D15

The BGauss D15 is an electric scooter that pairs a retro look with modern conveniences. It is offered in two variants, the D15i and D15 Pro, and is positioned against scooters such as the Okinawa OKHI-90 and the Odysse Hawk. The D15 is priced at Rs. 1,45,408 (ex-showroom).

Performance and range

Power comes from a PMSM hub motor rated at 1500 W with a peak output of 3000 W and 110 Nm of torque. The scooter tops out at 60 kmph and uses a 3.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that BGauss claims delivers a 115 km range per charge. A full charge takes around 5.5 hours using the portable charger. Three riding modes, Eco, Sport and Reverse, let owners balance efficiency and response.

Chassis and features

The D15 rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with telescopic forks up front and twin adjustable rear springs. Stopping power comes from drum brakes on both wheels with combined braking (CBS). It keeps a 765 mm seat height and 175 mm of ground clearance. Feature highlights include a full-LED setup, LCD instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, keyless start, an in-built navigation display, a USB charging port, and a removable battery. The battery and motor both carry a 3-year warranty.
