The Ampere Zeal EX is a high-speed electric scooter built for daily city commuting. It draws from a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery and a PMS motor, offering a riding range of around 107 km on a full charge. Three riding modes - Eco, City and Power - let you trade range for punch, while CBS with drum brakes at both ends handles stopping.
At 130 kg kerb weight with 150 mm of ground clearance and 12-inch wheels, the Zeal EX is easy to live with on Indian roads. Charging takes about five hours on the portable charger, and the battery and motor both carry a 3-year warranty.
